This long-established sake brewery, founded in 1865, is located in Magarimatsu Shopping Street. The representative brand “Tsukinoi” is named after the beautiful scene of the moon shining on the waves, as described in a verse of the folk song “Isobushi.” As “sake that is given to Oarai,” the brewery dares not to design sake quality, but instead focuses on brewing sake that fully utilizes the power of rice, water, and yeast in Oarai’s climate and environment. Besides sake, the store also sells products made from sake lees.
