Hokkaido Tomakomai ⇔ Oarai Port
There are two ferry services per day between Hokkaido Tomakomai and Oarai Port.
					*From Oarai Ferry Terminal to Oarai Station, it takes about 15 minutes on the loop bus Kaiyu-Go or about 20 minutes on foot.

To Mito Station About 40 minutes (highway route), about 1 hour and 10 minutes (open road route)
					From Mito Station, use the Kashima Rinkai Railway Oarai Kashima Line or the Ibaraki Kotsu Bus.
By car (highway)
Ibaraki Kuko Kita IC → Higashi-Kanto Expressway Mito Line → Ibarakimachi JCT → Kita-Kanto Expressway - Higashi-Mito Road → Mito Oarai IC → Route 51 → Oarai
					*You can also come to Oarai by open road.

The Kaiyu-Go loop bus is a popular transportation service for visitors to Oarai and residents of the town. The Aqua World Oarai Route, Oarai Sun Beach Route, and Oarai South Route are in operation.
*School Bus 1 runs only on school days of Oarai Minami Elementary School.
				*For each route, some buses are available only on weekdays, or only on weekends and holidays. 
				*The timetable for Bon holidays (August 13 to 15) and year-end and New year's holidays (December 29 to January 3) will be the same as the timetable for Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays.

In addition to the town's loop bus Kaiyu-Go, the Jinguri bus Natchan-Go runs through Natsumi, Matsukawa, and Kamiyama. "Jinguri" is a dialect word meaning "traveling one by one."
