Aqua World Oarai, Ibaraki Prefectural Oarai Aquarium

Aqua World Oarai is one of the biggest and most famous aquariums in Japan. It features about 68,000 fish of 850 different species. The aquarium also boasts the greatest variety of shark species in Japan.

Oarai Marine Tower

This 60-meter-tall glass-sided tower is the symbol of Oarai. From the 55-meter-high observation tower, guests can enjoy views of the townscape and the Pacific Ocean.

This is a popular science museum aimed at children, where they can experiment with the wonders of the sea.
